The New AirDailyX Goes Live!

[New Website Launch] A month late and a day early! Dear friends, dear loyal readers. Today I hereby present you with the new platform that will carry AirDailyX into the future. It has been a pleasure serving you all on this blog over the years and it's time for a positive change. I keep talking about how our developers continue to improve upon their crafts and it's time I did the same. I do hope you all will come with me and celebrate the future of ADX. It's in beta so please feel free to give me as much feedback as possible. I do hope you enjoy it and I look forward to more years together as we continue to enjoy this wonderful hobby of ours!

Yours Sincerely,

D'Andre Newman

The Countdown Begins!

As I finalize preparations for the new website launch on Saturday, I am doing some house cleaning on the blog here. Soon, this site will be known only as the "ADX Classic Archives" All the info posted here will remain forever and much of it is or has been imported to the new destination. But this place is no longer the "Insolent FS NewsBreaker". Sigh... bye bye... We are approaching an end of an era and approaching a new! Stay tuned for Saturdays announcement!
ADX>>Update: The new site will be online in the very early hours on Saturday for Eastern Europe. This means for those in North/South American regions, the new site will be online tonight or this afternoon for those in Australia! I'm very excited! It's been a lot of work!!

STOP! It's Phenom Time!

P3D. I have never liked FSX. So thank God for the guys at Lockheed Martin for delivering Prepar3D! Otherwise, i'd still be using FS9 exclusively which means AirDailyX would be pretty much dead given the fact that the majority of ADX followers are dedicated to products from the likes of Orbx, PMDG, Carneado, Majestic and the like. Carenado is fully committed to P3Dv2 and the Phenom just looks great under the shadows! The screens are still dark thus I imagine they will be all lit up in the next preview. Here are some interior shots to hold you over! Honestly, it looks damn good!

Orbx: The San Francisco Treat!

FSX/P3D. We'll got good news and bad news I suppose. The good news is, the upcoming Orbx NoCali will stretch far southwest enough to cover the Bay Area. The bad news? It mostly will not be compatible with US Cities San Francisco. I say this because Aerosoft's London is still not compatible with FTX EU and there doesn't seem to be any efforts on either side to get this to work. Many have, but only through a series headaches. Hopefully things will be different here without issues. But then again, after looking at FSDG's Thessaloniki's city scenery, would anyone want a city without night lighting? I'm glad to see Orbx in my back yard, let's hope many airports come with it as well!

Status Update From Manila!

FSX. Pacific Islands Simulations has provided an update on their mega Airport Manila and City! So far, T1, T2, and T3 are completed including many off airport buildings and hotels. As for the city of Metro Manila, it will come complete with 5/30cm pixel satellite photoreal terrain coverage which has also been completed. The developer is also developing some new eye candy such as volumetric grass and much more. I told you all to keep your eyes on Taxi2Gate. I told you all to keep your eyes on LHSimulations, I told you all your keep your eyes on ImagineSim, and I am telling you to keep your eyes on PacSim. This developer is on his way to the top! Here is the full development progress report!

LHSim LDRI Making Progress!

FS9/FSX/P3D. My very good friends over at LHSimulations are progressing on their next destination LDRI in Croatia! This is one of my very favorite developers and every thing they produce is of top quality! These are only the early renders but the modeling looks good! I'm looking forward to following their progress!

FranceVFR Autogen Global X Released!

FSX. Even though the CEO of FranceVFR doesn't seem to like me very much, it wont stop me from promoting his products. I hold no grudges. Now if you are anything like me and you use P3D, you have already discovered that every time you install a new scenery, autogen in other places tend to disappear. FranceVFR's Autogen Global X is a program that allows you to initialize your autogen definitions without having to reinstall your scenes. In addition it provides a single set of definitions compatible with the products of many publishers who can then be used together.  it's free so check it out!

VERO FS Washington/Oregon Released!

FSX/P3D. This is something I consider to be an alternative to Orbx' FTX PNW, VERO FS offers a similar coverage area but with autogen on top of photoreal terrain. At the similar price point, I would put my dollars on Orbx a thousand times over. But hey, people need options! Check it out!

REX Texture Direct SP1 Released!

[FS Utilities] The title above says it all. Here is what they fixed: 1.) Option and checkbox buttons not showing in Windows 7, basic or classic mode. 2.) Weather Engine checkbox not saving after close down. 3.) Temperature font cutting off on weather theme window. 4.) Removed single quote error when naming a theme. 5.) Menu bars being cut off with screen resolutions less than 1152 x 864. Get it now!

JustFlight Canberra Update!

FSX/P3D. The JustFlight Canberra is a beautiful aircraft and the development team has been doing an amazing job capturing the essence of this aircraft in FS. The good news? Customer deliveries are expected to commence next month which is great for me because i have been waiting almost a year for this baby! Here are the latest shots and stay tuned for more information from the team.

Look what I found??

FSX/P3D. I was just walking along minding my own business when suddenly I stumble upon a black envelope marked in bright bold letters: TOP SECRET! So I did what any sensible person would do. I opened it right away. Contained inside were several shots of what appears to be a F-4E in development. Now I wonder what developer would be behind this?? Could there be a new development company on the horizon? Hmmmmm.... Well, here are the top secret shots. Sorry, whomever the developer is, is up in the air at the moment. Clearly, judging by the early development renders, these were not meant to get out! But as ADX is Insolent.... We do what we want.
ADX>>Updated with interactive 3D VC!

I'm Taking Us All Out Someplace Nice!

FS9/FSX/P3D. ADX Exclusive! Every airplane has a destination. Where is this going? Would you like to be on board? Keep checking for updates!

Thai Creation Is Back!

FSX/P3D. I am personally a fan of Thai Creation. These guys have been very silent several months! They broke ground on Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo Sri Lanka back in July of 2013 and I am pleased to see how well it's shaping up. I highly recommend Thai Creation sceneries. If you haven't yet, check out review pages and then head over to Simmarket!

Alabeo C195 Getting Ready!

FSX/P3D. Like hot rods? How about hot rods with wings? Well here comes the best of both worlds! Alabeo is homing in on release of their upcoming legendary C795 Businessliner. Looks like this baby will be ready in a week! I'm guessing next Tuesday or Wednesday. I just can't wait to hear that seven-cylinder 300hp Jacobs R-755 engine fire up! It's gonna be nice. I think I will fly it off to Misha's Seiku first and wake the neighbors!

FlySimware Cessna 402C Released!

FSX/P3D. If it's one thing I really like to see is more developers getting out there and developing aircraft addons for flight simulator. Typically, we tend to see scenery developers outnumber aircraft developers 5 to 1. FlySimware has just released their Cessna 402C Businessliner and where it's no Carenado, it does look nice. But I must say, I am really struggling with that price tag. @ 26.38EUR. Ouch. You can pick it up at Simmarket.

Funny Screenshot Of The Day!

FSX/P3D. This is really funny. In all honestly, it's not funny at all and it's indeed sad. But nonetheless, it's still funny. Many of you by now are well aware of a current ongoing scam regarding an outfit calling themselves Genuine Simulations promising an A380 product that is 100% based on screenshots stolen from Next Level Simulations. A bit part of me is actually glad this happened as it inspired the developers to get back to work on the project which is a good thing for all of us. But the thing that really got me going this morning is the watermarking on their latest image. You just cant make this stuff up! Keep up the great work NLS! Full shot inside. Read closely.

A Note From The FSGlobal Team.

P3Dv2. Here is an update on from the FSGRW team regarding Prepar3D V2 compatibility: "We were working hard on it, but unfortunately had to enter a holding. This is due to the fact, that there still are some slight flaws in P3D V2.0 (and no, it is not just the known temperature bug). We are relaying with Lockheed Martin to get these fixed hopefully in the first patch (V2.1) which they will release soon. Until then and until we have tested and finetuned FSGRW to work with P3D V2.1 we have to hold and burn off some fuel ... As we are dependent on another party, we can not say, when this version will come out. If these bugs are fixed and nothing more shows up, it won't be long after Prepar3D V2.1 has been released."

AXE A319 VID!

FSX/P3D. The AXE team has uploaded a video displaying the new ECAM using CLR to scroll through  the ECAM and clearing the memo. The "SYS Page Called" function is not yet complete and there are other very obvious bugs (such as Fire button should be sping loaded and CLR button flashing) we are glad to have an update on this project!

Digital Aviation CRJ Update.

FSX/P3D. Well, it's not an update exactly. Mathijs has posted a few shots showing the CRJ earlier this week displaying the closeup details. Wow has this project been a long time coming. Literally years in the making. The FS community has been needing a proper CRJ for many years and the variant delivered by Wilco just didn't cut it. Release of the Aerosoft DA CRJ is expected sometime during Q1 of this year. Once it's out, any chance we will see a VC update for the Fokker? Guess time will tell.

Aerosoft MAP-DUB Update!

FSX/P3D/P3Dv2. Now in an advanced night lighting stage, the Aerosoft Mega Airport Dublin project appears be progressing quite well. With the EireSim version officially considered dead by my observation, I consider this contention concluded. The developer is indeed doing a terrific job on the project and it will surely give us all something to look forward to in the coming weeks. I hope it will be fully compatible with FTX IRL Have a look!

Drzewiecki Sheremetyevo T-F Update!

FSX/P3D. Aside from Italy, Russia is another large European country to be seriously neglected in FS. Luckily, thanks to Avsim.ru, there have been many high quality freeware Russian airports to choose from over the years and I use many of them. Couple those with the ones from Aerosoft and Drzewiecki's upcoming high quality Sheremetyevo and you have many destinations to choose from! Here is the latest of terminal F from Moscow Sheremetyevo from Drzewiecki Design!

MSE 2.0 Detroit Released!

FSX/P3D. The former giant city of the automotive world was Detroit... Even though the city is not as prosperous as it once was, the scenery still remains largely unchanged, and you can now fly over Detroit and the surrounding area in spectacular, high-resolution scenery with this Ultra-Res Cities series release. Ultra-Res Cities take MegaSceneryEarth realism to a whole new level with unprecedented native 50 cm resolution scenery for larger cities and Terminal Control Areas. This titles gives you the Terminal Area for Detroit, MI (shown by the chart link below) around 4,000 square miles of the all displayed at 50 cm per pixel. Get flying!

Bergamo Promo Video!

ES Doing Big things!

FSX/P3D. Earth Simulations is in progress on a new 30 cm color enhanced Professional Photographic Scenery for the entire United Kingdom. This one will be huge with high-res photo terrain and autogen to boot! I must say, this could give Orbx a run for the money. It's going to be very interesting comparing the two! Check out these shots! Thanks to Kevin Firth for the tip!

More Metro Incoming!

FSX/P3D. As we are busy in the process of putting our reviews together of the Razbam Metroliner, I am pleased to see that 2 more variants are still in production! the TP-88 is currently undergoing it's as you can see above and next on deck afterward will be RC-26B! Great toys in store this year! Check it out! Updated with the RC_26B shots!

Next Up From Milviz: MD530F!

FSX/P3D. Milviz created what is in my opinion the best looking helicopter ever developed for FS when they finally released their amazing Bell 407. And yes, the flight dynamics are as good as it gets. But the team hasn't stopped working. Today, the developer released their first renders of the Hughes MD530F and it's one of my favorites! I remember back in the 80's when my dad used to work for Hughes Aircraft. I was only a kid, but I remember getting to meet one of these babies up close and personal. I also kept hoping those loaded missile launchers wouldn't take my ass out... ahhh they just don't make them like this anymore... well... Milviz does!

Orbx FTX Northern CA Close To Final Beta!

 http://airdailyx.blogspot.com/2014/01/orbx-ftx-northern-ca-close-to-final-beta.html
FSX/P3D/P3Dv2. Orbx's NCA development team have been hard at work adding some final corrections to the long awaited FTX Northern California scenery package. According to Holger Sandmann, they are about to go into final Beta.
